I've had this image in mind for a bit now, and I finally found a chance to draw it. I don't have a lot of experience drawing children, so I think I may've made Alvin's legs a little TOO short. I still had fun, though!

A Plea For Help

Breaking news, and it's not great. Due to health issues, my editor has to drop out of our partnership. Until I can find a replacement editor and business partner, ALL of my upcoming book projects, including She's The Tops! and several issues of Cartoon Cuties, have to go on ice. He has agreed to consult with whoever I can find to replace him, but now I have to find that replacement. I'm open to all the help I can get in this. Whoever comes on board, our first release will be She's The Tops!, as all the raw materials are already in place. God willing, the right partner will see this post and come to rescue. My previous agreement was a 50/50 split on profits in exchange for doing the editing and publishing, while I provided all the artwork. Basically, someone who understands the technical side and can negotiate Amazon on my behalf. If you can't help directly, please spread the word!

I know it's silly, but sometimes I like to draw something nice for characters that I love, despite them being fictional. That's the power of well-written characters.

R.I.P. Chuck Norris

The country, and the world, is shocked to learn of the passing of one of the great American icons of the screen and the fitness arena. At age 86, Chuck Norris has left the physical world following a medical issue which arose while the action star was in Hawaii. While we all walk with awareness that man is only mortal, Mr. Norris exuded such a larger than life presence that the reality that he is no longer with us is a difficult one to really accept. Despite his powerful presence, however, what Chuck will be remembered for is his humility and humble nature. Chuck was one of the nicest, most giving men in the entertainment industry, a loyal patriot who always gave of himself to promote his fellow man to higher position, champion the stars and stripes, and bring people to Christ. Calling him a legend, an icon, barely says just how much he meant to fans the world over. God bless you, Chuck, and comfort your family as the world adjusts to a planet without you. We love you, Sir. Thanks for being there to brighten our days with a mix of inspiration, humility, and good old fashioned action!

Unused Book Cover

Here's a book cover I was recently hired to draw. I thought it some of my best work, really. Ironically, after my own series being classified as Adult, the publisher declined this cover art because they thought it made the book look aimed at much younger readers than it was written for. Since that basically plays opposite of what happened with my own series, I consider this a major feather in my cap. Unfortunately, this means a book still in search of a cover.

Been a month, I guess I should post something...

Statement

Sad news, fellas. It looks like Cartoon Cuties will be classified by Amazon as an "adult item" from now on. I strongly disagree with that assessment, but better the series be available at a limitation than not available at all. I will not be changing the tone of the book despite the classification. This is a family series, and I will continue to approach it as such.
