Another massively popular Disney release, OLD YELLER is every bit the classic you've heard it is. The seemingly simple story of a boy and his dog, set against the backdrop of a frontier farm just after the Civil War, stole hearts and continues to do so today. A vivid depiction of a time when a boy became a man much earlier in life. Though he was still technically a child actor, the film contains what I firmly believe to be Tommy Kirk's finest performance. Well worth checking out of you haven't seen it yet.
