Memorial Day, 2016

Today, we honor those who didn't come back from Over There. The men to whom we owe our every freedom. Those who laid down their own lives for the liberty of men, women, and children that they did not know. They knew only that they lived, or would live in the future. Yes, they fought for their own families, but also for so many more families than it seems possible for any of those brave men to realize. "Thank you" seems so inadequate, because it is inadequate. To these brave men and women, to those who fell on beaches, in battlefields, from the sky, into the sea, who made their last stand here and around the world, God bless you and keep you. And thank you. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." -Jesus, the Christ, John 15:13
